Innovation: Dynamic Labelling

SISTERS has developed a Dynamic Labelling solution that automatically adjusts food prices as products approach their expiration date, rather than applying discounts only on the last day. This approach gives consumers more time to purchase and consume food safely, while helping retailers reduce losses and food waste. To enable uptake, SISTERS recommends EU guidance on dynamic pricing protocols, financial incentives for e-ink label adoption, and transparency measures that help consumers understand how dynamic pricing works.
