SISTERS

On Wednesday, July 13th SISTERS celebrated its first working group! It was hosted by SAFE (SISTERS consortium partner) and projects such as FOODRUS, Strength2Food, FUSIONS, CHORIZO… participated in the session.

Consortiums from these projects took part in a 2-hour intensive session to foster synergies among projects while learning best practices from each other.

SAFE oversees establishing working groups (WGs) between the consortium of the other EU-funded projects to foster the information exchange. Meetings will be planned every 3 months.

Within these WG meetings, each project participant will share ideas and perspectives related to their own projects, with the hope of stimulating the work of other participants involved in the WGs. At the end of the project, the WGs will edit a policy report that will show the correlations among the EU policies of the different projects and potential common measures that can be taken to solve the gaps in all the subtopics of this call.

SAFE is organising these WGs with the aim of:

  • creating synergies among projects
  • learning best practices from each other
  • sharing advice as well as lessons learnt from previous experiences
  • improving the network of organisations that carry projects on food waste at EU and national level
